The John Stark Varsity field hockey team defeated Conant 6-2 on Wednesday. Becca Wetherbee led the attack with 2 goals. Elizabeth Aubin and Meg Girardet each had a goal and 2 assists. Kasey Arnold and Delaney Forrestall added the other Stark goals and Meg Newhall had an assist.

 

The John Stark boys JV soccer team played hard but lost to Lebanon 5-2.  Joshua Reynolds scored with a shot from 25 yards out for John Stark. Cameron Doyle added a goal with an assist from Joseph L'Heureux. Justin Coidakis played well on defense for the Generals.

 

The Boys Varsity soccer team ended an epic match with a tie yesterday versus Lebanon.  The match was a nail-biter that was both physical and gritty.  Some highlights were Johan French's laser of a shot that hit the post in the 2nd half.  Aiden Moser also cleared a Lebanon strike off the goal line to keep the game tied.  Jake Reynolds had a beautiful shot in overtime that grazed the post and Chase Patterson was solid in net with four saves.  The boys next match are on the road this Friday versus Goffstown.

 

John Stark Girls Soccer lost to Lebanon 2-0. Girls went down 1-0 in the first half off a deflection from a corner. In the second half, some miscommunication in the box allowed an easy goal for Lebanon. 

 

Oct 4

Match Day!  The Boys Varsity soccer team (7 and 3) takes on the 7 and 3 Lebanon Raiders today at 4 pm.  The boys are coming off a big victory versus Milford last Friday.  Jake Reynolds had a hat trick and an assist, Lawson Murphy had a goal and two assists, Evan Caswell had two goals, Patrick Kalob had a goal and Aaron Robertson had an assist.  Chase Patterson and Jaimason Lacasse backstopped the team in net.  Jacob Couture, Spencer Janelle, and Greg Labrie were all an offensive threat as well.  We hope to see you at our match today as it is a big one.  Thanks for the support!

 

The John Stark varsity field hockey team fell to Mascenic on Monday. The Generals received a strong effort from Elizabeth Aubin defensively, while Olivia Fatcheric led the Generals with a strong midfield game. Stark travels to Conant on Wednesday.

The John Stark JV field hockey team got a late goal from Delaney Forrestall on a feed from Rebecca Wetherbee to tie Mascenic 2-2 on Monday. Meg Girardet scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Anna Salisbury for the first Stark goal. Sydney Pelletier was outstanding in goal, turning aside 13 Viking shots.

 

The Generals JV volleyball Team took home their 10th straight win against Pelham yesterday. Lilly S. had 6 kills and 10 aces, Olivia B. had 9 kills and Brooke P. had 8 aces. Alexa A. and Camryn P. had excellent back row defense while Bri B. dominated the service line.

Oct 3

A representative from Lees-McRae College will be in the atrium during all lunches on Tuesday, October 3rd.

There will be a Robotics meeting on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30 PM in room 175.  All current and prospective students welcome.

The Full  Student Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd in Mrs. Martins room during Flex.

 
 
The first LEO CLUB meeting will be held in Ms.Hagen's room (214) at 7:45 am on Wednesday, October 4th. LEO CLUB is a community service organization dedicated to making our school and community a better place to live.  All students are welcome!

 

Starting Monday, October 2 Seniors may purchase a parking permit for $10. We will be selling only to Seniors for next week, they will begin selling permits to Juniors on October 8
 
Permits will cost $10 - this is the same amount we have charged for years. The Forms have been emailed to Seniors school email accounts. Juniors will receive the email with the forms attached later this week for next weeks purchase. 
 
When you come to the office please be sure you have completed the application - including parent signature - and have all the necessary documents. The secretaries in the main office will process your application
 
 
Art Club's next meeting will be from 3-4pm on October 12th. New members are always welcome. Come make some art and meet new people!  Snacks will be provided. See Ms. French with any questions.
